The year of Shailene Woodley enters phase two next month, when the 22-year-old Divergent star embarks on her second promotional blitz of the year. The occasion is the eagerly anticipated teen weeper The Fault in Our Stars, which features Woodley as Hazel, the cancer-stricken narrator who falls in love with a dashing young cancer survivor named Gus (Ansel Elgort).
The film will almost certainly be Woodley's second hit of the year, after Divergent crossed the $100 million mark at the box office earlier this month. The Fault In Our Stars is based on John Green’s best-selling YA novel of the same name, so you can bet that legions of die-hard fans will be lining up to see this tearjerker more than once.
We haven't read the book ourselves, but based on the new trailer we get a pretty good sense of the general tone. There's laughs, there's love, and there's a whole lot of tears. Oh, and Laura Dern and Sam Trammell play Hazel's awesome parents. Consider us sold. The Fault In Our Stars hits theaters June 6.
