During the hubbub of Coachella, our intrepid reporters were apparently too caught up in Outkast's natural disaster of a set, starlets wearing bindis, and surprise appearances by the universe's most powerful couple to notice Spider-Man walking around in drag. Whoops.
Indeed, Andrew Garfield slapped on a blond wig and a lacy number in Arcade Fire's upcoming video for "We Exist," which was partly shot during the festival. (He's also got a bit of Courtney Act realness going on with his makeup.) On Friday, the band released a 22-second teaser for the video, which gives you the first glimpse of Garfield and his getup.

Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler told Time Out last year that the disco-infused song from the band's fourth album, Reflektor, is about a young man coming out to his father. "In dominant cultures there’s what’s normal, and everything else is abnormal," Butler said. "It’s one of the darker tendencies of humanity to think everyone should fit into a mould."
When the band performed "We Exist" at Coachella this year, he drove the point home further. "The right to marry anyone you want is a human rights issue," Butler told the crowd. And, the right to wear what you want is too. (Billboard)
