Attention, New Yorkers. Just in case you were planning on hopping down to City Hall this afternoon for a quick-and-dirty wedding, ABC has you covered. As a publicity stunt for Modern Family, the network is footing the bill for marriage licenses for couples on Monday. It might not be a huge sum, as NYC residents pay $35 for the license. (The rest of the state pays $40. Suckers.) But, it's the thought that counts, of course.
It also helps that marriage is a key plot point in the ABC sitcom. Modern Family's upcoming two-part season finale, airing on Wednesday, will feature the wedding of Mitch and Cam, played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet. The actors appeared today on Good Morning America to plug the event.
Happy nuptials. (TIME)
