We sure hope Jennifer Lawrence isn't the jealous type. After the actress recently joked about not trusting boyfriend Nicholas Hoult with his Equals costar Kristen Stewart, her limits will really be tested on Hoult's next movie.
Reports out of Cannes are that the X-Men: Days of Future Past actor has just been cast opposite Khaleesi herself, Emilia Clarke, in Hollywood's latest take on the iconic legend of Bonnie and Clyde. Based on the novel "Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde," this version of the bank-robbers-slash-lovers tragic tale will be far different than Arthur Penn's Bonnie and Clyde, which featured Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in the title roles.
In Jeff Guinn's nonfiction book, the bank robbers don't so much rob actual banks, as they do mom-and-pop grocery stores. While we're not huge proponents of remakes, if director Michael Sucsy can craft a fresh spin on the story, then we're all in. It might also help introduce a new generation of audiences to one of America's most thrilling tales ever. Casting two of Hollywood's brightest young stars as sexy, tommy-gun-toting outlaws, certainly doesn't hurt either.
On a side note, if you haven't seen the original, beg, borrow, and steal your way to a copy. It's a classic. (Vulture)
