Last week, a cat named Tara became a hero and a viral star seemingly overnight. It's easy to see why the video of Tara saving four-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo from a dog attack became an Internet sensation. To honor the brave feline, the Bakersfield Blaze, a minor-league farm team for the Cincinnati Reds, asked Tara and her family to throw the ceremonial first pitch at last night's game.
The Blaze attempted to set up a baseball on a fishing wire, so that it would appear Tara was throwing
it herself. But, when that didn't really work, Roger, Jeremy's dad, threw the ball for her. And, of course, Jeremy got a pitch in, too.
You can see Tara in action in the clip below. Please note, we're not currently welcoming criticism about cats and their inability to actually throw a ball. Just accept that this happened, and that the world Internet is a better place for it. (New York Post)
