The fields of Manchester, TN, are soon to be alive with the sounds of, well, everything. Bonnaroo 2014 is fast approaching and with it comes the cluster-you-know-what of a lineup. But, don't fret! Sure, the selection of 150 acts seems random and scattered, but a thread can be found that will make those four (hopefully) sunny days in June a total aural adventure.
All you have to do is break the lineup into its key genres: EDM, alt-whatever, classics, and the token indie groups. This playlist isn't necessarily the be-all and end-all of how to sonically navigate your way through the weekend, but it's a place to start. For example: A Skrillex set at noon is not what afternoon delights are made of. Save him for the evening, or after you've warmed up with some BANKS, Okkervil River, and a bit of Disclosure to ease you into the turnt mode. And, once night falls, shake whatever demons you have out to Yeezy, Zedd, and The Glitch Mob. Elton John is an obvious safe bet for those in need of something less aggressive. But, don't let the Rocket Man fool you. There's tricks up that man's sleeve yet to be seen. Who knows: With a lineup up like this, you just might get a dub-step remix of "Tiny Dancer."
