Watch Sky Ferreira Sit Through A Painfully Sexist Interview

Sky Ferreira isn't known for being at ease in the spotlight, and she has spoken openly about her stage fright in the past. So, why her management thought it would be a good idea to have the diminutive singer visit the Brazilian TV show The Noite is a major head-scratcher.
Earlier this week, Ferreira was interviewed by comedian Danlio Gentili, whose English-language skills leave something to be desired. As a result, most of his questions went over his guest's head. Considering Gentili's vulgar line of questioning, that's probably a good thing. Unfortunately for Ferreira, the abrasive host had his trusty interpreter relay his rude queries by whispering them in her ear. Chief among them was this: "Do you think people like your music because of the songs or because of your tits?" Despite being obviously flustered, Ferreira held her own when she replied, "The music, but it helps if you're a pervert."

For the uninitiated, the cover of Ferreira's debut album, Night Time, My Time, features the singer completely topless. To her credit, she has owned the controversial image and openly criticized iTunes, Instagram, and Twitter for not allowing her to post the cover online. And, that helps to explain why she was totally comfortable brushing off Gentili when he brought it up.
Brazil may have won its World Cup opener, but in the epic battle between indie American pop stars and Brazilian late night, they're down one-nothing.
