The Electric Daisy Carnival is a massive, orgiastic party that goes down annually in Las Vegas. While it's known for attracting some of the world's biggest DJs, this year the weekend affair will also be ground zero for an exciting new feature from Snapchat. It's called Our Story, and it's set to change the way you both snap and chat.
Our Story encourages a more collective way to use the app, which became popular because it allows users to send self-destructing pictures and videos to each other. "We built Our Story so that Snapchatters who are at the same event location can contribute Snaps to the same Story," Snapchat explained in a statement published on its official blog. "If you can’t make it to an event, watching Our Story makes you feel like you’re right there!”
It was only a matter of time before Snapchat added a form of geotagging to what was up until now, a very personal and private user experience. Electric Daisy Carnival is the perfect guinea pig for the new feature, which will allow users to share their videos, photos, and doodles from the event.
If you've ever wondered what thousands of people under the influence would draw, you're about to find out.
