Photo: via @misskarenelson. When you hear the phrase "cat lady," the very first words that come to mind probably aren't "fashion forward." But, turns out, they probably should be. As Barneys New York is here to prove, some of fashion’s coolest crusaders are of the feline-friendly persuasion.
It makes sense that cats would be stylish creatures. They’re graceful, discerning, and throw some of the best shade in the animal kingdom (perfect for street-style snaps, thank you very much). And, as for their owners, well, they include some of our favorite designers (Maria Cornejo), models (Karen Elson), and — ahem — bosses (R29's EIC Christene Barberich).
In this series of portraits and short interviews, the kitties of the fashion world steal the spotlight, but it's the tastemakers who answer hard-hitting questions. For example: “What is Ziggy’s spirit human?” and “If your cat were to buy you one thing from Barneys, what would it be?”
