Hillary Clinton won't (maybe) be running until 2016, but that doesn't mean you've got a two-year reprieve from politics. In fact, the relaunch of Rock The Vote is proving just the opposite, making sure that young voters stay on top of the issues as Midterm elections approach. Because there's no excuse for not being politically active.
Having registered more than 6 million new voters to date, the influential voter-registration drive is stepping up its efforts this year, bringing on an all-star team we're pretty excited about. First and foremost, it has tapped political consultant (and occasional Girls guest star) Audrey Gelman as its national spokesperson.

She tells us why this work is so important to her: “Having used the their online registration tool to register to vote when I turned 18, I am thrilled to be working with Rock The Vote this year to amplify the voices of young people in the electoral process, Yes, you won’t be casting a ballot for president this November, but it’s just as crucial for young people to show up and vote in the Midterms. These elections will determine who controls the Senate and House, and the direction of key legislation on immigration, the environment, college affordability and job creation. The stakes are high, so let’s turn out this November and prove the cynics wrong.”
Big, important work, for sure (they've got a goal of registering 1.5 million new voters this year). And, under the leadership of new president Ashley Spillane, RTV will be targeting young voters where they are — on their phones. Thanks to a mobile-friendly website, anyone 18 and older can be primed and prepped to cast their vote with just a few clicks.
Enough talking. Let's start doing, guys. See you at the polls.
