MØ’s Gets Moody On New Acoustic Track

This year, Danish songstress MØ made her mark in the U.S. reviving the girl-power movement the Spice Girls brought stateside in the '90s. She released her debut album, No Mythologies To Follow, featuring the single “Never Wanna Know,” and also recorded this gorgeous, stripped-down version of the track that we’re excited to premiere.
With this haunting take, you can hear Karen Marie Ørsted’s heartbreak and pain, coupled with her dreamy vocals. “I wrote this song on the night of me and my ex-boyfriend’s breakup,” Ørsted explained. “The song just wrote itself, and I followed — it describes exactly how I felt at that moment. I recorded it the day after in my old room at my parents’ house."

You can definitely feel (and hear) the emotion in this version of the song. At least Ørsted made good use of that heartbreak.
