When Chanel does a pop-up shop, it's not just a pop-up shop. The correct Chanel-ified terminology is "ephemeral boutique." And, to take its show — the Métiers d'Art Paris-Dallas collection, to be exact — on the road, it did just that. Karl and Co. made a wild west spectacle of these same pieces in Dallas, but for now, the clothes live in Aspen at private eatery Casa Tua. The wares will stay there until July 6, but the fashionable crew that was sent to fete the boutique have since returned to their preferred city: New York.
Yes, Gotham City's fashion set joined the brand and, of course, came clad in their double Cs, too. Tennessee Thomas, Leigh Lezark, Harley Viera Newton, Laura Love, Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, Jen Brill, and Elisabeth von Thurn und Taxis prove that group dressing is back — at least when you're in this coveted label. The lot opted for a set of white, black, and blue looks that mix fresh sophistication with classic Americana (Ms. Love, we're lookin' at your skirt!), plus a couple pops of red to bring home the patriotic theme. Whose look do you think earns the highest (altitude) marks?
