Competition lies ahead as trivia nights, improv battles, and sample sales (you know those are always a bit of a battle) take over our calendars. But, with prizes, victory, and Proenza Schouler at the end of the tunnel, we'd say it's all worth it. Read on to find out when and where we're fighting the good fight this week.

See change at the Dossier Outpost.
The Dossier Outpost at South Street Seaport has a fresh lineup of new vendors for the month of July. Cinders Gallery and The Squeeze are just a few of our favorites that are entirely worth the trip downtown.

When: Now through the end of July.
Where: South Street Seaport, at the intersection of Pearl and Front streets.

Test your sex knowledge.
Think you know sex? Sign up for the fifth-annual Sex Ed Trivia Night and see how much you really know about sex ed, sex and pop culture, sex positivity, pleasure, and more. Talk about a good time!

Where: Flight 151, 151 Eighth Avenue (between West 17th and 18th streets); 212-229-1868.

Get buzzed...with Grady's Cold Brew.
Meet the founders of Grady's Cold Brew (an R29 favorite!) and discover the science behind their award-winning iced-coffee concentrate. Then try it hot, iced, even over ice cream.

Where: STORY, 144 Tenth Avenue (at West 19th Street); 212-242-4853.

Decide a complete stranger's fate.

What goes together better than beer and laughs? This comedy show — a cross between Whose Line Is It Anyway and The Hunger Games — will offer both this Wednesday night. Audience members vote until only one improviser is left standing. Dun dun dun...

Purchase Proenza a-plenty.
Shred through those tasks and plan for an extra-long lunch break. This once-in-a-blue-moon Proenza Schouler sample sale will definitely be worth the crunch.

When: Thursday, July 17, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 76 Mercer Street (between Spring and Broome streets).

Shop at INA's new super store.
This NYC designer consignment store — one of our go-tos — recently opened a Union Square location with over 3,600 square feet of must-grab goods. The massive size of the store allows for a broader range of merchandise (read: lower price points!) in addition to the high-end designers INA has sold for more than 20 years. This week, all six INA stores will host summer sales. We may just stop by every one.

When: Thursday, July 17 to Saturday, July 19, 12 to 8 p.m.; Sunday, July 20, 12 to 7 p.m.

Where: All INA locations.

Make plans for the next TWO weekends.
No.6 Store will be hosting its second-annual basement sale over not one but two consecutive weekends. Seem redundant? Not at all! Clogs and designer pieces will be available the first weekend, and vintage will take the stage the second. All up to 80% off. Yup, just go ahead and pencil that right in.
When: Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, 12 to 7 p.m.; Sunday, July 20, 12 to 6 p.m.; Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26, 12 to 7 p.m.; Sunday, July 27, 12 to 6 p.m.

Where: No.6 Store, 6 Centre Market Place (between Broome and Grande streets); 212-226-5759.

Celebrate National Ice Cream Month.
According to the International Dairy Foods Association, President Ronald Reagan designated July as National Ice Cream Month in 1984. To celebrate, West Elm is teaming up with Van Leeuwen to host a FREE ice cream social. That Earl Grey ice cream is calling.

When: Saturday, July 19, 1 to 3 p.m.
Where: West Elm Chelsea, 112 West 18th Street (between Sixth and Seventh avenues); 212-929-4464.
