Sports Illustrated cover model and mega babe Chrissy Teigen has every right to be peeved at Forever 21. In a behind-the-scenes video of Mrs. John Legend's recent shoot with DuJour magazine, Teigen shares her amateur pizza-making skills, as well as the story of the mall brand allegedly kicking her to the curb in the middle of a gig.
"I showed up on set and they asked me if they could take a photo," she says. "They shoot that photo off to my agency, who then calls me as I'm sitting in the makeup chair, and they say, 'You need to leave right now. They just said that you are fat and you need to get your measurements taken.'"

We can't say we're surprised by this allegation — whether or not Teigan is accepted to be an objectively beautiful human being. A successful modeling career is completely dependent upon one's image, and models are under constant and harmful scrutiny: for being too young, too thin, not thin enough, a certain skin color, you name it. Expected as it may be, it's still disheartening to hear that a brand explicitly geared toward teens and young women would have shamed anyone in this way, much less a would-be employee who had showed up ready to work.
Here's hoping Chrissy followed our bad-day-recovery lead and went home, broke out the big wine glasses, and wallowed while listening to John Legend on repeat. Actually, we're sure she's got at least part of that covered.
