Tumblr has long been a platform for boundary-pushing beauty. It's no surprise, then, that there are multiple Tumblrs popping up that are solely dedicated to the wonders of female leg hair, with names like The Hairy Legs Club and Very Hairy Legs. So numerous are these pages that even The Daily Mail noticed the trend — and, to its credit, the publication is taking it pretty well.
When big-name publications cover the complicated issue of body-hair grooming, my gut instinct is to worry. The mainstream isn't exactly known for encouraging women to do what they want with their bodies. However, this article declares that "the hairy legs movement has arrived," and reports on the topic with only a tiny bit of judgment in the kicker (asking readers, "do you dare?").
Sure, it's sensationalized, but it's also some pretty groundbreaking publicity for the hairy women of the world. The article itself looks like a tribute to hirsute selfies. I highly recommend you check it out, and let us know if your own hairy-legged selfie will be making an appearance in this growing online community. (The Daily Mail)
