True Blood may be coming to an end this year, but star Deborah Ann Woll isn't sweating about it. The 29-year-old actress has already landed her next gig, and it should appeal to her growing fan base.
Woll will remain in the realm of the fantastic when she takes on the role of Karen Page in Marvel's upcoming Netflix series Daredevil. Page is the primary love interest of blind attorney Matt Murdock, the Hell's Kitchen hero's alter ego. The character wasn't heavily featured in the regrettable Daredevil movie, so Woll has a clean slate to work with.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Charlie Cox, who stars as the horned vigilante. The Boardwalk Empire actor will have his work cut out for him as he attempts to cleanse our palettes from the awful taste left behind by Ben Affleck's 2003 big screen misfire.
Joining Cox and Woll in the series will be Vincent D'Onofrio as crime boss Kingpin, Elden Henson as Murdock's best pal, and Rosario Dawson in an undisclosed role.
Fans of Woll will have to wait until next year to watch her romance a superhero, but for now, let's just hope she makes out of True Blood's August 24 series finale alive. (Entertainment Weekly)
