Let us just preface this by saying we are so glad the no-makeup trend is gaining traction; it's great when a woman wants to go au naturel. But, when that person is Gisele Bündchen, it just doesn't seem fair.
As reported by Women's Wear Daily, the Brazilian supermodel posed for fashion designer Sonia Rykiel's latest ad campaign sans cosmetics. The campaign was inspired by old pictures of Rykiel from the '70s, and Bündchen was chosen because, as art director and stylist Katie Grand said to WWD, "We wanted to work with a woman with Madame Rykiel’s joie de vivre, and the obvious choice was Gisele."

And, while Gisele clearly embodies all of the joie de vivre Grand speaks of, we just want to know one thing: How is it even possible for somebody to look this flawless while being photographed next to paint cans and brushes? Specifically, while they're doing so without wearing a stitch of makeup? (No, we're not jealous at all...)
We're still champions of the bare-faced movement and believe in encouraging women to do whatever they want with their makeup, in general. But, if everybody suddenly starts looking like Gisele does without makeup on, well, we might have to reevaluate that stance. We don't think our egos could take it. (WWD)
