"How am I supposed to care about a group of overprivileged, affluent types who go gallivanting around without any sort of moral compass?" That's the question Jenny Slate poses in the new trailer for The Longest Week.
Viewers may find themselves asking the same question. This dramedy — out September 5 — stars a bearded Jason Bateman playing against type as a spoiled, Tenenbaum-ish 40-year-old living off his parent's wealth. When he's finally cut off, he turns to his best friend Dylan (Billy Crudup) for support. Naturally, he can't help but return the favor by making off with Dylan's new girlfriend, Beatrice. She's played by the gorgeous Olivia Wilde, but still.

If love triangles and the whole rich-people-do-"Jesse's Girl" thing don't appeal, there's always Slate. The Obvious Child star figures in as the voice of reason, which just might be all the excuse you need to make a beeline for the box office.
