Remember when we told you about Theresa Roemer's "She-Cave" — a three-story closet full of $2 million worth of clothes? Well, that number was just cut in half. Yesterday, the closet was robbed.
The Houston fashion collector says that it seemed like a professional job, possibly perpetrated by someone who read about the now-infamous closet in this feature in Cosmopolitan. (And, also, maybe someone who saw The Bling Ring one too many times.)
The burglar also made off with three Birkin bags filled with other luxury items while Roemer and her husband were out. Sadly, however, Roemer admits that she had not locked the closest or set the alarm before she left for the evening. And, while we appreciate her carefree spirit (after all, nothing says "carefree" quite like having a champagne bar in your closet), there's no denying she was taking a risk. It makes forgetting to lock your bike seem like not such a big deal, right?
As grandiose as Theresa's closet may be, it's really not the clothes she's most upset about. Rather, it's the loss of several family heirlooms that had been handed down to her from her husband's mother. And, the fact that no one — rich or not — deserves to have their possessions taken from them. We're sending our best wishes to you and your Louboutins, Theresa. (Gawker)
