The way Brooke Shields landed her first MAC collaboration actually sounds like something straight out of our nightmares. "There's this little place I go to get coffee after I drop my kids off for school and after a yoga or spin class, where I think no one will see me without makeup," she told WWD. "Of course, who do I run into but James [Gager, MAC's senior vice president and creative director], Mr. MAC?" Long story short, Gager and Shields had a few conversations, which culminated in the actress signing on as the face and cocreator of MAC's newest Icon line.

And, Shields did her homework. After doing a ton of research and poring over the products she already owned, her collection was born. It contains a shadow palette filled with jewel tones, two lipsticks, a duo of nail polishes, a mascara, and more. The products will be priced from $17 to $44 and will be available in October in MAC stores.
We have to say, since Shields is known for her killer brows, we're actually stunned she didn't just do an entire collection of pencils. There is one option in this collection, but we'd have liked to see her go all out. Shields was the original Delevingne when it came to brow-envy, so who better to show us how to play the game?
Brow stewing aside, we are actually pretty pleased with the assortment of products she's put together. The entire collection is elegant while still feeling approachable — just like Shields herself. Hopefully, in this situation, she'll start with the makeup and the brows will follow. Click over to WWD to see the collection in its entirety. (WWD)
