NYC As You’ve Never Seen It Before

According to Donna Karan, the best thing about NYC is the people who inhabit it. And, we agree. The city is chock-full of interesting individuals, whether they're natives or expats who arrived to chase their dreams. It was with that in mind that Donna Karan created My NY, her first perfume in a decade, with Rita Ora as her frontwoman. But, the fragrance was just the beginning.
Starting today, the folks at DKNY are launching the My NY digital site. It's a collective hub where women around the world can contribute their own stories about NYC — even if they don't actually live in the city. The idea is to gather as many tales about the Big Apple, whether that's a way New York has inspired you or simply your memory of the first time you visited.

But, it's not just about sharing stories. If you connect to My NY via your Facebook, the site will pull in all of the images from your page that have you tagged in NYC. It will then form them into your own heart shape — a collage of all the things you love about New York. You can also click through the site to see other people's heart collages. In fact, more than 500 digital influencers have been populating their own hearts in preparation for the site's launch today. The idea is to create a cohesive, living, breathing love letter to New York.
My NY's digital hub isn't only to show off your picture-taking prowess, though. Users can take a quiz to see what their NY personality is, and they can also shop the fragrance, request a sample, and write their own review of it. It's the full package when it comes to professing your love for all things New York. Click over to see the full site in action now. Whether you live in NYC or not, it's an amazing new way to see the city.
