UPDATE: NYC Model Ataui Deng Found Alive

UPDATE: Ataui Deng was found alive Monday evening at a New York City hospital. Deng's friend Chef Roblé posted on Instagram, "I am very happy to report that Ataui has been found. She is safe and sound. I want to thank all of our friends and followers and especially the NYPD for their swift and dedicated response. #FoundAtaui. Thanks again and much love." No details regarding her condition have been released at this time.

Sudanese beauty Ataui Deng Hopkins, who has worked for the likes of Proenza Schouler, Christian Dior, and Harper's Bazaar, has been missing since August 6 according to a post on Instagram from her aunt and fellow model Ajak Deng. It read, "MISSING: My friend Ataui Deng has been missing for 10 days. She was last seen in the Lower East Side of New York City. She is 5 feet 10 inches tall and slim. If you see her please email FindAtaui@gmail.com. Thank you.”

The 6-foot-1, 110-pound model, who is also the niece of model Alek Wek, was last seen leaving 251 West 48th Street, the location of two nightclubs, XVI Lounge and The Attic, The Village Voice reports. Friends claim they saw Deng at the latter, where she was attending an event for Major Model Management. She was reported missing by her boyfriend, Grant Monohon, on August 16.
