MAC is basically killing it on the designer-collaboration front, but its latest match-up may be the prettiest we've seen yet. WWD reported this morning that Prabal Gurung is teaming with the beauty giant on his first foray into color cosmetics. And, based on the sneak-peek photos, the collection doesn't disappoint.
The 14-piece range runs the gamut, from Lipglasses to shadows to lipsticks all in vintage-inspired, gilded tubes. Gurung told WWD the packaging was as important to him as the colors themselves. "This package holds a lot of emotions. I can't wait to give [the collection] to my mom," he says. Gurung's mother was the catalyst for his love of beauty and fashion, and he recalls watching her put on makeup when he was younger.
Gurung's line is definitely on the pricier side of most MAC pieces. While the eyeliners will set you back $20, a buffer brush will cost you $70. The collection is slated to hit stores November 26, but those who attend Gurung's show during New York Fashion Week will get a first look at the shades. You know what that means, right? You have approximately two weeks to get a job as a fashion editor and snag an invite to his show. Good luck. (WWD)
