SNL‘s Biggest Secrets Revealed In New Book

Whether you think global warming is caused by man, or it's just God hugging us closer, you've probably seen your political views become the butt of a joke on Saturday Night Live. The variety show has never shied away from sketches that poke fun at the government. And, it's not unusual for politicians to make guest appearances, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain. In a new, extended version of Live From New York, writers and actors share the secrets behind some of their most famous political skits.
The trivia here is kind of mind blowing. To give you an idea of what you can expect, Bill Hader admits that he didn't even know who Eliot Spitzer was when Seth Meyers asked him to play the former governor. Obama cut a sketch about multilingual air safety instructions for his SNL appearance. And, Will Forte never even wanted to do Bush. Check out the extended book for 200 pages of additional material. Spoiler alert: Sarah Palin still isn't as funny as she fancies herself. (The Hollywood Reporter)
