Miley Cyrus was all anyone could talk about after last year's VMAs. That wasn't necessarily a good thing, though, with her twerking on Robin Thicke being blamed for the complete moral degradation and corruption of America's impressionable youth. But, this year, Miley Cyrus' actions will also be the most talked about moment at the VMAs — and that's a good thing.
When Miley won Video of the Year for "Wrecking Ball," she hugged her plus one for the night and sat back as he made his way to the microphone. Trembling, the teen took a piece of paper out of his jacket pocket and started to speak.

"Thank you all. My name is Jesse. I'm accepting this award on behalf of the 1.6 million runaways and homeless youth in the United States, who are starving, lost, and scared for their lives right now. I know this because I am one of these people. I've survived in shelters all over the city. I've cleaned your hotel rooms. I've been an extra in your movies. I've been an extra in your lives. Though I may have been invisible to you on the streets, I have a lot of the same dreams that brought you to be here tonight."
Jesse continued as Miley looked on, tears in her eyes. "The music industry will make over $7 billion this year, and outside these doors are 54,000 human beings who have no place to call home. If you want to make a powerful change in the world right now, please join us and go to Miley's Facebook page. A dream you dream alone is only a dream, but a dream you dream together is a reality. Thank you so much for your time."
Miley was ready for the moment; She posted the link on her Facebook page the second Jesse said it. Let's all talk about Miley Cyrus at the 2014 VMAs tonight, tomorrow, and in perpetuity. She came in like a wrecking ball, but for once, it was a very good thing.
