When people aren't talking about Beyoncé and Jay Z's alleged impending divorce, they're chattering on about the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy. But, the conversation isn't typically about her adorable dancing at the VMAs. It's about her natural hair, and Jezebel is pretty fed up with it. We've got to say, we are, too.
The most recent hair-hate directed at Blue Ivy (who, can we add, is a child) was thrown by Karrueche on BET's 106 & Park. And, although the network went on the apologize for the tasteless joke, the damage was done. Jezebel's Kara Brown puts it best: "I cannot believe we have to have this conversation." Preach, girl.

Blue's hair grows out of her head the same way that every other little girl's hair grows out of her head — naturally. It's not disheveled, dirty, or unkempt. And, even if it was, the fact of the matter is Blue's hair isn't up for discussion. There is also the small fact that Blue is a toddler. If you've got nothing better to do than throw shade on a 2-year-old, it might be time for some serious soul searching.
Brown's essay on the topic goes to the root of natural hair shaming, so it's definitely worth a read. Perhaps it will start to get through to those people who fail to realize that Blue seems like a happy, well-adjusted child who doesn't really deserve this kind of scrutiny. At least, we can hope.
