Is This Line Destined To Be The New Hard Candy?

If you were anyone in the '90s, you were most likely wearing some Hard Candy nail polish on your fingers. Baby-blue-hued Sky was THE shade of the decade and helped the line develop a cult following. The company then evolved into a mega-brand, and founder Dineh Mohajer ultimately sold it off to a larger company in order to pursue other projects.
Well, we're getting our first look at one of those other projects, and our curiosity is definitely piqued. It is, of course, a new collection of nail polishes. The name? Smith & Cult.
The range includes 30 shades, from striking red to putty purple, and inspired by diary entries of a woman that Mohajer conjured up. A shimmering gold is named "Bridge & Tunnel," which is just as clever as it is hilarious.
According to WWD, the polishes will retail for $18. And, while they'll mostly be sold in salons, you can snag the bottles at Net-A-Porter. Considering Mohajer built her first makeup empire on the back of cool nail polish, we're excited to see this play out. Now, if we're going to be giving our '90s favorites makeovers, can someone work on a cooler version of butterfly clips, please?
