Labor Day weekend was fun and everything, but for some of us, getting back to real life is proving to be a little difficult. Which is why we're excited that a new hangover cure has arrived to take away what's left of our day-drinking-induced fogginess.
It's called Berocca, and it's a little tablet that's packed with B and C vitamins as well as magnesium, zinc, guarana, and caffeine. When dropped in water, it unleashes those nutrients in a fizzy, citrus-flavored fervor similar to that of Emergen-C. Berocca is marketed by Bayer as a daily, get-your-morning-going type of mind-body supplement; its ad has Joel McHale playing a terrifyingly hyped-up motivational speaker. While this product might be great for any old morning, we're more likely to turn to it for the morning after.
Long appreciated by drinkers in Australia, England, France, and South Africa, Berocca has just recently made its U.S. debut and is now gracing the shelves of drugstores like Duane Reade and CVS. Exciting stuff; but, we're eager for Clotam to make its way to the U.S. as well. This tolfenamic-acid-based pain reliever is marketed for the treatment of migraine headaches. And, according to Proof: The Science of Booze author Adam Rogers, it's also a reliably proven hangover cure.
Of course, the best hangover cure is probably just not drinking. But, if that's not your style, Berocca's got your back.
