Lancôme's ambassadors are always known for a certain kind of Parisian chic. They're always coquettish and delightfully ethereal, and they tend to have a healthy dose of charm. But, the brand's latest ambassadress brings a little more edge and style to the mix: Actress and singer Alma Jodorowsky is the quintessential French girl, but with a seductive twist.
Think of the essential Parisian woman, Breton stripes and all, twisting away at an indie music hall. That's exactly what Jodorowsky embodies for Lancôme. "She has an intrinsic, natural attitude that is totally devoid of arrogance; a calm strength that most likely comes from a way of approaching life confidently and with great curiosity," says François Lehmann, general manager of Lancôme International. "An intelligence about life and people."

In her first advertisement, Jodorowsky is just that. With a head full of brushed-out curls, a classic red lip, and a subtle suggestion of a cat-eye, she embodies that chic, "French-girl off-duty" look. Add that to the decades of glamour already under Lancôme's belt, and you've a recipe for brilliance.
Jodorowsky's first campaign, where she'll be wearing Lancôme's "Happy Holidays" makeup collection, will hit at the end of the year. Here's hoping that it will bring us that much closer to Parisian cool.
