It was the trend that took the beauty world by storm last season. So, it seemed only natural that Nicholas K would gift us with an update on the reverse cat-eye this time around. You know, that look beauty editors, celebrities, and models were obsessed with last February? Here's the new twist: While the upside-down lines are still black and graphic, they now have a second flick, which reaches down from the inner corner of the eye.
A minor addition? Sure. But, the results are ferociously feline. Extending the lines toward the nose gives the illusion of larger eyes. The overall effect is also slightly cleaner than last season's smudgy oeuvre, which makes sense: If you get too messy in the inner eyes, you could wind up with a morning-after look (not in a good way).
Just like last season, the rest of the makeup was simple: taupe shadow, strategic contouring, and a nude lip. Hey, if it ain't broke, why fix it? All you've got to do is tweak it a little.
What do you think of this new, sleeker version of the reverse cat-eye?
