Serena may not have the Oscar buzz we've come to expect from Jennifer Lawrence/Bradley Cooper films, but the duo's third project finally has a trailer out to pique our interests. You can file that under "Better Late Than Never," considering the movie was shot more than two years ago.
The Depression-era drama sees Cooper's timber merchant falling in love with the strong-willed (but, alas, infertile) Serena, played by Lawrence in a perfectly tousled bob. She's a frontier badass, he's losing money, and nobody seems particularly happy about their union. Things take a chilling turn with talk of murder, Cooper taking aim at folks with his gun, and the couple facing each other in hospital beds. And, hey, what's Claudius Templesmith doing there?

The film, directed by Susanne Bier, has been plagued by delays and distributor issues. This international trailer names the release date as November 27. Hopefully that means U.S. audiences will finally get a chance to see the movie for themselves, though anyone expecting the next American Hustle may be disappointed.
