Lifetime's upcoming Grumpy Cat movie probably won't be up for many awards, but we'd like to throw out a nomination for Most Inspired Casting. The network has tapped Aubrey Plaza to voice the titular feline character, because, well, who else could do it?
Though Plaza's not really that grouchy in real life, her Parks and Recreation character April is the epitome of deadpan moping. Who better, then, to play a cat with the most withering stare of all time?
Plaza's not the first prime-time star to be attached to Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever (actual title). Glee star Jane Lynch was originally set to voice the Internet-famous pet, but pulled out after winning an Emmy last month. What, Grumpy Cat's not good enough?
