Another day, another celebrity hair change — this time, in the form of a bright, new hue on the hair chameleon herself, Katy Perry.
In the same vein as the dyed green strands she debuted back in April, the singer revealed "dat hot wheels hurrr/play doe pink do," inspired by Animal, the rock-'n'-roll drummer from The Muppet Show. We respect that Katy went with such an unexpected character as her hairspiration: She's already dabbled with Kermit-green, Miss Piggy-pink wouldn't have the same bold effect, and Gonzo-blue could look washed out with her darker locks. This reddish-pink shade — paired with straight, undone tresses — is just the right amount of rocker-chic without going overboard, proving once again that dark-haired girls can pull off all the colors of the rainbow.
The Insta pic was accompanied by a banner decorated with pumpkin emojis, which leaves us wondering if this is a little foreshadowing for her Halloween costume. Could an edgy-Little-Mermaid look be in the works? Or perhaps, there's a modern-day Annie coming our way? Whatever the reasoning behind Katy's recent transformation, we're forever grateful for her ability to never let us down.
