Amazon hopped on the smartphone bandwagon this summer with the introduction of its Fire Phone. Unfortunately, its tiny ecosystem of apps and other shortcomings made its $200 price tag a hard sell. Comeback kid Hilary Duff hopes to make it happen, though.
Her new video for "All About You," the second single off her forthcoming yet-to-be-titled album, glorifies the now $.99 phone . Watch how easy it is to sneak pictures of a hot guy at an unassuming Los Angeles restaurant. See how effortless it is to send said photo to your girlfriend over text. You can practically smell the gel on the dude's hair — the image and screen are that clear! Wow. So much tech.
The phone doesn't help our subtle stalker find her man, however — there's no app for that yet. Good thing she's got her vintage wheels and enough confidence to ask around, for soon she and her snap-happy phone pull a Regina George, subtly telling her friends, "Get in losers, we're going line dancing." They arrive at the glorified puddle that is the L.A. River and boogie down with Duff's new man. Thanks, Fire Phone. Vulture )
