Not to be outdone by Katy Perry's new fire-engine-red, muppet-inspired hair, Britney Spears just showed up in Germany up with — what else? — a blonde bob. It's a modern version of the chop she had in 2006: blunt, sleek, and styled to curl under the chin. With undeniable corporate-CEO vibes, this haircut looks especially #GirlBoss with her blazer. It's pretty much the perfect 'do for a pop star who's all grown up.
While this look is a departure from her usual long locks, it's reminiscent of the black nerd-babe bob she wore in 2009's "Womanizer" video. We loved that look then, and we love this platinum iteration, too. We're also wondering if there are other cues to future hair changes hidden within the complex subtexts of her music videos. Can we look forward to the bright-red hair of "Toxic?" The '90s layers of "Lucky?" Only time will tell. But, in the meantime, you can relive the glory of her stellar bob moment by watching the video below. (It is #tbt, after all.)
