Amy Poehler & Friends Look To Make Us Smarter In We The Economy

Understanding the intricacies of the economy can feel incredibly daunting. Because, the only thing we fear more than death, homicidal clowns, and a Bey and Jay divorce is tax season. And, as the country's economic struggles continue to make headlines, a series such as We The Economy has never felt more urgent.
The 20 short films that comprise the series are being dubbed clips we "can't afford to miss" by its makers — especially if you're someone who can't tell the difference between an audit and an Audi. Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Amy Poehler, Werner Herzog, and Maya Rudolph are among the celebrities who'll appear in the short films.

Morgan Spurlock's company, Cinelan, will be producing the films, which will be helmed by high profile directors including Adam McKay (Anchorman), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), and Joe Berlinger (Some Kind of Monster). Based on the trailer below, the series will be a hodgepodge of sketches, animation, and talking heads.
We Are The Economy: 20 Short Films You Can’t Afford to Miss, will be available on October 21 via more than 40 digital platforms. To find out more on bills, bills, and bills, click here.
