Next year is shaping up to be pretty special. My cousin Jeffrey will finally get his black belt in Taekwondo, it's the 20th anniversary of Seal's smash single, "Kiss From A Rose," and last but certainly not least, come February 2015, Better Call Saul will air on AMC.
Even though it's already been picked up for a second season, the Breaking Bad spin-off that centers on professional sleaze (and sometimes lawyer) Saul Goodman, doesn't feel quite real yet. Other than a few ultra-short snippets that prove that yes, they've actually shot some episodes of this thing, we haven't seen much. The latest kinda, sorta teaser from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and writer Peter Gould comes in the form of a country music video. "Better Call Saul" by country crooner Junior Brown is a twangy ode to the lawyer who became famous for his crucial role in Walter White's fictional drug empire.
While we still don't see much in terms of footage here, we do get a sense of some of the nefarious territory the show plans to explore. Child abduction, drunk driving, and shoplifting are all on the menu. Sounds wholesome.
