It's a bun! It's a braid! It's whatever the hell is going on atop Harry Styles' head. The One Direction singer sported a hybrid between the ever-popular man bun and tight-to-the-skull plaits. The result? Head-scratching.
It's true: We love ourselves a good man bun. And, after Cary Joji Fukunaga won the Emmys with his French braids, we started warming up to the idea of other dude 'dos. But, Styles' look? There's way too much going on. It's like a prom half-updo gone horribly wrong.
Even Harry's hairdresser, Lou Teasdale — who first showed off the insanity on her Instagram — isn't married to the mishmash on his head. She even issued a Twitter apology for spawning it.

While we're all for dudes experimenting with their hair, Harry's misses the mark. Stick to the style you know, Styles: that glorious, curly coiff.
