North West, you may have noticed, is not your typical 16-month-old. She posts up in the front row of Balenciaga and gets hand-written invitations to Givenchy. Her modeling career's already gone further than most 20-year-olds'. And, of course, you will never catch Ms. West wearing a Gerber cotton onesie — oh, no. North sports black lace baby-goth gowns, and miniature Balenciaga ensembles on a casual day.
And, now, the secret behind her enviable wardrobe has been revealed. The Daily Mail reports that the wee West has her very own stylist-slash-tailor. The tailor reportedly plans North's outfits months in advance, and was hired by her parents "to ensure that Kim and [North] always coordinate." To accomplish this, the tailor is responsible for creating mini-me versions of Kim's designer outfits, and commissions some pieces directly from the designers themselves. No word yet on whether duplicate outfits are needed in case of any drooling incidents.
Click over to Daily Mail for more details, and be grateful the non-North babies of the world are still down with cotton onesies. It doesn't sound so easy to keep a baby in couture. (The Daily Mail)
