Remember in kindergarten when the teacher asked what you wanted to be when you grew up? For us, it wasn't a vet or a princess (okay, maybe sometimes it was), but a designer. And, it's not like we wanted to get crafty with macaroni necklaces forever, we were after the greats — Prada. While we probably won't achieve Miuccia status any time soon, we can get a glimpse into the luxury fashion house with its new Made To Order lace-up shoe project.
Kicking off this week at Prada's Fifth Avenue location in New York City (then to Soho from October 16 to 31), the program allows shoppers to customize their very own brogue. There's a choice of 32 color variations, five different micro soles, and material like brushed calfskin and fine leather. In 60 days — voilà — the perfect steppers just for you. Made to order will also be heading to Prada locations in Beverly Hills and Miami. Looks like we'll be able to add "designer" to our résumé, after all.
