Actress Misty Upham, best known for roles in Frozen River, August: Osage County and the upcoming Jennifer Aniston film Cake, has been reported missing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In a post on Facebook, her family said that the actress was last seen leaving her sister's apartment in Muckleshoot, Washington on October 5. Reuters is reporting that the police responded to a suicide call from the home, but Upham was not there when they arrived. THR spoke with Upham's father, who told them that he fears the 32-year-old Native American actress is suicidal, but also said his "best guess as to where [Misty] is, considering her disappearance, is actually within forests/woods of Seattle, WA because she was a huge fan of nature."
On Upham's Facebook page, someone claiming to be a family representative has posted to her wall asking for help organizing searches for the actress, saying "We requested that the Washington State Endangered Missing Person plan be implemented. The Detective said supervisors on the case are considering this request but feel it does meet the criteria at this time." The family is asking that anyone with information call the police department in Auburn, Washington.
Upham was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female for Frozen River. She also played the family housekeeper in August: Osage County. (The Hollywood Reporter)
