Ariana Grande isn't content with dominating the charts. She wants a piece of that box office too. And as we all know, what Ariana wants, Ariana gets.
The pop superstar is returning to her acting roots in Underdogs, an animated feature from The Weinstein Company, set for release in April of next year. Though we won't get to see that face or that hair blown up on the big screen, we will get to hear that voice. And, that's the real moneymaker, right? Grande will play Laura, a damsel-in-distress who must be rescued by her soccer-playing boyfriend (Matthew Morrison), and players from a foosball table that comes to life. With Morrison and Grande as the leads, we can expect singing.

Joining Grande will be Katie Homes, Nicholas Hoult, John Leguizamo, and SNLers Taran Killam and Bobby Moynihan.
Before she became the biggest thing in music since, well, the last biggest thing in music, Grande delighted tweens on the Nickelodeon sitcom, Victorious. Meaning, she can act — so expect this role to be the first of many.
This is Ariana's world now. We're just living in it. (Hollywood Life)
