Like a good neighbor, Sarah Jessica Parker is not one. The actress recently held an impromptu photo shoot for her SJP shoe collection on the steps of 66 Perry Street. Sex and the City fans will easily recognize the stoop as the very same one that served as Carrie Bradshaw's on SATC. It's become such a popular tourist destination that the townhouse's owners have placed a barricade on the steps to stop people from climbing them.
A metal chain won't stop Sarah Jessica Parker, though. She snuck under it and flagrantly ignored the "Do NOT go on staircase please" sign (it's even featured in one of her Instagram photos). In other Instagram snaps from the shoot, SJP placed shoes from her collection on the now-iconic stairs and along the sidewalk in front of the building.

"They didn’t get the permission from the owner. The situation with SATC visitors is still very intense. People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed," Gerald Banu, president of the Perry Street Association, told Page Six. "SJP used their house during the years of filming, and now won’t acknowledge that she and her company used the steps and facade, this time without permission, to promote her shoe line."
The Perry Street Association has one huge request if the rumored Sex and the City 3 movie does happen: "Please have Carrie move to a new address." Translation: Step off. Ouch. (Page Six)
