The Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer Is Here & So Is A New Female Hero

If the mark of a good trailer is its rewatchability factor, than the first trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron is one of the greatest ever. We're already seven viewings deep.
Marvel fans have been licking their collective chops after the superhero house announced that the official trailer would hit next week. But, after a grainy leak surfaced Wednesday night, Marvel caved. The first official footage for next year's most anticipated film is finally here in all its HD glory.
Sure, we've seen the superhero dream team in action before (in all of their various cinematic iterations). So, the big takeaway here is the film's villain, Ultron. Fans of The Blacklist might recognize James Spader as the actor who breathes life into the diabolical titular robot. How director Joss Whedon knew that Spader's relatively laconic timbre would strike fear into the hearts of audiences is beyond us. (We give it until the end of the weekend before a dedicated fan of The Office does a Robert California/Ultron mashup.)

We also get footage of new team members Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen, who play the brother-sister duo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Olsen in particular gets a lot of screen (and scream) time.
Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters May 1, 2015. Watch the trailer again, and again, and then again, below.
