She taught us how to LOL and about differences in our complexions. But, People’s Most Beautiful Woman has some more wisdom to impart. And, this time, she's taking on the perplexing task of transitional dressing.
This past Wednesday, Lupita Nyong’o co-hosted the grand opening of Bally’s first London flagship store with Luke Evans. Naturally the Oscar winner stunned, clad head to toe in the Swiss designer’s spring '15 pieces. Now, generally fall means trading in our florals and brights for more muted tones, but Lupita went ahead and masterfully combined pastel pink with rich autumnal shades of burgundy and forest green. In addition, by draping her trench over her shoulders — a signature fashion-girl move — Lupita demonstrated how to wear a questionably off-season cropped top despite dropping temperatures. Consider it a big "forget you" to traditional interpretations of seasonal style.
Real talk: We're sure that the actress could wear any shade from the United Colors of Lupita spectrum and hardly anyone would protest. But, given how well her unexpectedly harmonious combination of hues is working here, we're already looking into creating our own fall-meets-summer-meets-spring ensemble — for winter.
