Harry Potter fans are bound to be a bit disappointed when they first visit London. There is no Diagon Alley. Platform 9 3/4 at King's Cross won't whisk you off to Hogwarts. And, alas, there are Muggles at every turn.
But, it's not all a waste. The Georgian House hotel near Victoria Station is offering J.K. Rowling disciples the chance to have the Hogwarts experience with its themed rooms. For £249 (around $400 U.S.) a night, visitors can stay in a wizard chamber outfitted with cauldrons, trunks, spell books, and bottles of potions. Tours of film locations and a visit to Warner Bros. Studio's "The Making of Harry Potter" exhibit are also available for an extra charge.

Entrance to the chambers isn't controlled by a fat lady in a painting, nor are there any headless ghosts roaming about. And, you may not be able to squeeze in a game of Quidditch or receive post by owl, but the 163-year-old property surely has plenty to draw in diehard Potterites. Dare we dream the minibar stocks butterbeer? (The Independent)
