Adele is pretty universally beloved. "Chasing Pavements?" Great song. "Someone Like You?" Fantastic ballad. But, not everyone is on the A-train. Genesis drummer and singer Phil Collins isn't as amused with Adele as the rest of us. Apparently, she snubbed him.
Collins confirmed earlier this year that he was working with Adele on her new album. "I've just started to work with Adele," NME reported Collins as saying. "She contacted me to write together. I wasn't actually too aware [of her]. I live in a cave [but] she's achieved an incredible amount and I really love her voice and I love some of that stuff she's done. So, to me, it's always an eye-opener. Educational."

Adele gave Collins a piece of music to finish, but he never heard back from her. Still, the chanteuse insisted it wasn't a snub. Adele chalked up her lack of communication with the fact that she was moving and had a new baby. She told Collins that she wasn't working on anything at the moment.
The only problem is, rumors of a new album started circulating, and they reached Collins in his cave. "She's a slippery little fish, is Adele," Collins said about the rebuff.
Honestly, Adele, how can you just walk away from Phil, when all he can do is watch you leave? Take a look at him now. There's just an empty space. But, you coming back to him is against the odds. It's just what Phil Collins will have to face. (NME)
