The midterm elections are today, so what better time to discuss the possibility of one day seeing Angelina Jolie on a ballot? The Unbroken director and newly minted honorary dame told Vanity Fair that she's "open" to the idea of running for office. We can almost picture the "Vote For Angelina" placards now.
"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered,” the December cover star told contributing editor Janine di Giovanni. “Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility. But, I honestly don’t know in what role I would be more useful — I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible.”

She's totally talking about Billy Bob, right? For now, Jolie has her hands full with promoting her latest directorial effort, Unbroken, which tells the story of World War II hero Louis Zamperini. She's also settling into the role of Mrs. Brad Pitt, whom she's directing in Beyond the Sea. Of the marriage, Jolie says it's "nice to be husband and wife," even if the two are bound by some vows written by their six children.
"They did not expect us never to fight, but they made us promise to always say, ‘Sorry,’ if we do," Jolie said. "So they said, ‘Do you?,’ and we said, ‘We do!’”
Fair enough. Come to think of it, wouldn't Pitt make an incredible First Husband? Just saying. (Vanity Fair)
