Is Ariana Grande Ditching Her Ponytail For Good?

When Ariana Grande first gave her ponytail the heave-ho, we thought it was a fluke. Perhaps, she just needed a break from the sky-high updo. Anyone who's ever worn their hair that high for an extended period of time knows there's a point when your scalp starts to rebel. Plus, Ariana was just out and about during that very rare hair-down appearance — she still busted out the pony for red-carpet apperances.

But, it seems like Ms. Grande's signature style may actually be on its way out. The singer stepped out at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards with her hair completely down: no half-updo, no mini ponytail — just her down-to-there mane in all its blown-out, free-flowing, extension-ed glory. She even kept it that way for her performance during the show.

The blowout certainly makes her look less like a tween queen, which begs the question: Is Ariana transitioning from bubblegum pop star to full-on glamazon? If she continues with the sleek locks, that may well be the case. We'll be keeping an eye on you, girl.
