This Thanksgiving, we'd like to give thanks to Facebook. With the holiday right around the corner, everyone's favorite social network is rolling out a new "Say Thanks" feature that will make it easy to show your appreciation to those closest to you.
Starting Wednesday, users can create a 45-second video card with a few simple clicks of the mouse. The video will consist of footage cobbled together by Facebook, featuring highlights from your friendship over the years.
Before you decide to share the video, Facebook will generate a preview which you can then edit. That means no one will see the photo of you guys doing you-know-what with you-know-who if you don't want them to.
If the whole "This is your life" motif sounds familiar, that's because it's very similar to the "A look back" videos the company unveiled back in February to mark its 10th anniversary. Based on the nearly 200 million people who took a trip down memory lane within days of its release, the "Say Thanks" feature is primed to be another monster hit.
We're still waiting for our first (hint, hint).
